Your Mission as a Mechanical Technician

As a Mechanical Technician, your primary mission is to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our machinery and equipment. You will play a critical role in maintaining operational integrity by performing routine inspections, diagnosing issues, and executing necessary repairs. Your contributions will directly impact the safety and productivity of our operations.


You will be handling these duties and responsibilities as a Mechanical Technician

  • Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, performing necessary repairs or scheduling specialist intervention when required.
  • Update maintenance logs, report progress and challenges to management, and suggest system improvements to minimize future issues.
  • Remove and dismantle equipment with maintenance problems; clean, lubricate, repair/replace faulty components, reassemble units, and check for efficient operation.
  • Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on various equipment, including single stage overhung centrifugal pumps, multi-stage centrifugal pumps (horizontal and vertical), centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, and general/special purpose steam turbines.
  • Repair mechanical seals and perform maintenance on safety/relief valves.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively within a group, both orally and in writing.
  • Participate in pre-purchase inspections, installation, and commissioning of new equipment packages.
  • Be available for shop and fieldwork as required, including participating in on-call rotation for after-hour calls.
  • Perform all tasks in a safe manner, adhering to the company’s HSE policies.

Qualifications and Skills that will allow you to thrive as a Mechanical Technician

  • High school diploma or Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • Mechanical experience in the Oil & Gas / Petrochemicals Industries.
  • Highly observant, analytical, and detail oriented.
  • Proficient with hand tools and capable of understanding and applying basic mathematical skills.
  • Experience with rotating equipment, including compressors, engines, pumps, valves, coolers, panels, generator packages, and related machinery.
  • Proven ability to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on machinery/equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Capability to work safely and in accordance with company HSE policies.
