Marine Operations Supervisor
Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
Supervise, coordinate and lead the performance of the operational activities related to the control of marine facilities and personnel deployed in offshore oil fields, to ensure that operations carried without risk to the health of those taking part or any other person affected by the marine operations.
In addition, to ensure the safety and integrity of the oil fields structures, equipment, and machineries in accordance with company established policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Minimum Qualification
- Technical Diploma in relevant field or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- Eight years of experience in general diving operations with minimum 3 years in a supervisory capacity
Professional Certifications
- IMCA Air Diving supervisor or equivalent trade certificate from a recognized organization
- HSE Part 1 or equivalent Offshore Diver Certification from a recognized organization
- Diving First Aid certificate and IMCA Dive Medical Technician certification
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- Commercial awareness of the current diving environment with strong knowledge of sub-sea installation and equipment specifications
- Skill and knowledge in both air & mixed gas diving techniques
- Ability to schedule work, activities, events, and programs
- Skill in organizational, planning, and prioritizing of works
- Ability to take original and creative decisions, thorough knowledge of his functional domain
- Knowledge of modern diving operating systems
- Knowledge of applicable diving regulations and statutory framework
- Proficiency in English and ability to use PC software associated with diving systems
