Job Purpose

Administer the electronic Integrated Safe System of Work (ISSOW) to facilitate the control of all work activities at the asset. Ensure the safety and well being of all employees and contractors working under ISSOW to ensure continuous integrity and efficiency of plant and equipment. Ensure all work is carried out in conformance with the integrated plan, in accordance with safety standards and relevant procedures.

Key Result Areas (Key Accountabilities)
Lead, manage and support the policies, goals, efforts, and programmes of the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System. Monitor activities for compliance. Ensure HSE issues are given primary consideration in all activities undertaken within area of responsibility. Unsafe acts and/or conditions, no matter in what area of responsibility, are to be reported so corrective actions can be taken.

Process and check the correct flow of issuing Work Permit and ensure that any anomalies are highlighted and managed.

Ensure that relevant support documentation has been supplied to the approving authorities including drawings, work-plans, Risk Assessments, written guidance etc.

Check that the correct Task Risk Assessment (Level 1 and 2) is provided and is thoroughly and conscientiously completed and used to compliment and support the safe issue of work permits.

Administer the electronic Permit to Work system (ePTW), controlling user access based on Company training and competency records.

Ensure that the accuracy of the permit includes appropriate checks and additional safety precautions and these are captured and processed so that any deficiency or gap associated with the initial preparation and process of the work
