Wood are currently recruiting for an Instrument Technician to join Mariner A.
This will be for 12 months fixed term contract.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To deliver a high quality, consistent and competent instrument technician construction service in accordance with project / company requirements, standards and procedures
- To support overall delivery of company goals and schedule.
- To ensure all that all workscope is completed in a safe manner ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment
- To perform all required discipline tasks, safely, consistently and in accordance with project requirements, procedures and specifications
- Read, understand and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the instrumentation technicians work scope is completed safely and to a high standard.
- Complete all work scope in accordance with applicable workpack / jobcard instructions, associated procedures and drawings / sketches
- Provide support to other trades/disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline team.
- Raising applicable Permit to Work (PTW) in order to complete workscope in a controlled and safe manner .
- Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) in order to complete workscope in a safe and controlled manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
· 4 Year Instrumentation and Control Appreticeship or Level 2 NVQ equivalent
· City and Guilds (C&G) in an appropriate instrumentation/control subject and or NVQ Level 3 in related trade.
· BOSIET/Approved Offshore Medical

OB DESCRIPTION
Wood have a requirement for a Operations Technician to join the Shearwater for 6 months on a 2 on 3 off rotation.
Purpose of this role is to operate all subsea and topside process plant, utilities equipment and systems in a safe and efficient manner under the direction of the Production Supervisor. To ensure production operations are delivered within safety guidelines and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and control the flow of hydrocarbons from the reservoir to point of export
- Monitor and record plant conditions, bringing deviations or malfunctions to the attention of the Production Supervisor
- Prepare process plant and equipment for maintenance by applying specified isolations/venting etc
- Prior to start-up of any plant or equipment, inspect and confirm suitability to return to normal service
- Maintain own work area in a safe, clean and tidy condition
- Carry out process system sampling as required
- Carry out regular inspections of the installation
- Minimising downtime and contributing to the achievement of production targets
- Prepare production reports
- Perform first line maintenance, identifying and reporting faults
- Carry out mechanical isolations, gas tests and work-site inspections
- Carry out emergency duties as required by the OIM / Site Manager
