Job Description
Looking for a Chief Electrician for our OFS client in Oman. This position will be reporting to the Rig Superintendent
FUNCTION:
Responsible for the safe operation, maintenance and repair of all electrical equipment on the rig and in the rig camp.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
Should have demonstrated the ability to work independently under general supervision and the ability to exercise leadership and set a safe work example to junior personnel. Experience in 2000 HP rigs
Industrial Electricians Certificate or equivalent, or has adequately demonstrated to a supervisor through on-the job experience the ability to competently and safely perform tasks as a Rig Electrician. Must have field experience (6-8 years) with similar electrical installation preferably on an oil well drilling rig. If experience is not on oil well drilling rig, a period of familiarization will be required.
