Overview / Responsibilities

Schedule, plan, coordinate and direct the Contractor all construction activities at the Site to ensure that the Project gets completed on time, within budget with the best quality and safety record. The Site Supervisor responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Ensure that the Contractor Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required meeting deadlines
  • Ensure that the Contractor assess properly labor requirements and dispatch workers efficiently to work areas and enforce the need for extra resource and/or alternative work processes are required to maintain performance.
  • Ensure that the Contractor is in compliance with building codes and other governing regulations
  • Ensure that the Contractor has obtained all necessary permits and licenses
  • Ensure the Contractor submit a 3 Weeks Look-Ahead Schedule on a weekly basis
  • Overall approval of Contractor Safety program and ensure Safety program is strictly applied during all site activities.
  • Ensure that the Contractor has issued the necessary requisition supplies and materials to meet the project construction Schedule. Monitor strictly the Contractor Procurement Schedule.
  • Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods. Evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans.
  • Advise Project management of timely identification of deviations from budget, schedule, quality or safety.
  • Ensure continuous presence of MAH supervision if the Contractor is working during night or outside project working hours.
  • Ensure maintenance of daily records of all site activities, including information on labor and plant, and any non-compliant materials or workmanship.
  • Supervisor the MAH team of Site Engineers, Safety Officers, Inspectors and any other personal working at the actual Site.
  • Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site.
  • Confer with supervisory personnel, Client, Contractors and other professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
  • Investigate damage, accidents or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.
  • Identify problematic design issues and make recommendations that support engineering procedures.
  • Final sign-off on Non-Conformance Report (NCR) for all irregularities, construction errors, non-conformities
  • Final sign-off on Corrective Action Report (CAR) prepared by the Contractor to remedy Non-Conformities.
  • Final sign-off on “Snag List” and “Punch list” and ensure closure of all open items.
  • Prepare the Construction part of the Monthly Progress Report.
  • Liaison with outside Consultants and relevant Government Authorities.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years’ working experience.
  • Experience in Construction Projects.
  • Experience in finishing high end projects, if possible
  • Have worked with some well-known PM companies and/or EPCM Contractors
  • Preferable Certification in Construction Management
  • B S Engineering Degree.
  • Western education and nationality
  • Strong personality
  • Good communication written and verbal skills
  • Have good work history
  • Stability; not more than 6-7 changes in his career
