Control Room Operator Offshore Rotational Job

REQUIREMENTS

  • Position Title: Control Room Operator
  • Department: Offshore Operations
  • Location (city/site): Offshore
  • Reports To (Position): Superintendent, DW Operations, Offshore
  • Position Summary
  • To provide control of all designated Deepwater processing and utility systems via the DCS located in the Control Room of the Central Platform. Also, occasionally, via the DCS terminal located at the Onshore Gas Plant, if required.
  • This position is also to fulfill the position Safe Operation responsibility and accountability requirements.
  • CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • • To supervise the Process Operators for the safe and efficient operation of the Deep water equipment.
  • • Ensure compliance with all safe operating limits related to plant and equipment.
  • • Compliance with Company rules and regulations, particularly HOIMS.
  • • Conduct all CRO business in a professional and ethical manner, communicating in a clear and timely fashion and providing accurate information and records
  • • Participate, as required, in emergency response actions and activities.
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • • High School diploma and Technologist or Industry Certification
  • Certifications – Professional; Regulatory; Safety; Specific Training (ie. specific professional designations such as P.Eng., Journeyman, CMA, CHRP, etc.)
  • • Formal training and assessment for at least one industry leading Distributed Control System.
  • Experience – Role-specific
  • • Extensive experience in a similar role, preferably in a Deepwater environment.
  • • Excellent track record of delivery of safe and efficient gas production operations.
  • • Minimum of 10 years direct experience as offshore O&G production CRO.
  • • Operating experience as an expatriate or rotator in a developing province.
  • • Extensive experience / training of first response to accidents and incidents, F&G, ESD.
  • Experience – Industry-specific
  • • Extensive experience as a seasoned offshore worker accustomed to the delivery of safe and efficient operations based on the use of industry leading methodologies.
  • • In-depth knowledge of offshore gas production operations.
