We are currently looking for an Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor to intervene on Air Separation Unit Construction Project.
Location: site BERKAOUI
Starting date: ASAP
Duration: 12 months with a possibility of extension
Responsibilities
Ensures that AP HSE Management System is followed by all Site and Contractor Personnel.
Participate and support in all HSE procedures and initiatives.
Provide E & I am engineering technical direction and support for Project activities, specifically including field engineering support.
Support discipline review of drawings from Engineering / Contractor
Vendors / Sub Contractors for completeness and compliance.
Support the Contractor in scoping and planning of E & I work.
Application of engineering principles, codes, and standards to identify issues, recommend improvements and implement solutions
Ensure Contractor complies to industry and design and construction specifications and standards in line with Project codes and standards.
Provide technical support by providing timely reviews of required specifications and project design reviews.
Provide Technical support for Contractor fabrication and construction drawings and schedules.
Provide Technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring of junior staff
Overall monitoring and supervision of Contractor E & I activities.
Monitor quality, timeliness, and cost of work performed.
Liaise with QS/CC function to provide support and evidence in regard E & I activities complete against SoW.
Support completions process including testing of electrical systems prior to hand-off to Commissioning.
Engage in continuous improvement processes as appropriate.
Monitor contractor to ensure they are following manufacturer requirements and project specifications for preservation and storage of electrical, instrument, HVAC equipment and consumables.
Monitor contractor to ensure they are following approved practices during installation, testing and commissioning of Electrical, Instrumentation and HVAC equipment to preserve and protect the
installed equipment (e.g. climate and dust control of buildings, appropriate testing and installation techniques and equipment etc.)
Attend when required Progress meetings supporting, contributing anddirecting meeting discussion as required. (internal/external).
Provide support and guidance to the Contractor about preservation techniques and activities, related to electrical equipment.
Ensuring contractors are directed in matters affecting risks of E & I activities.
Recommending any necessary courses of action on contractor E & I performance.
Provide written reports including reference to site evidence as required on
a regular and adhoc basis.
Maintain a strong and effective professional working relationship with the AP Project Management Team and Contractors
Attend all critical witness points for all testing and commissioning activities (ITRs) on Electrical, Instrumentation, telecoms, building Fire and gas and
HVAC systems to ensure compliance with regulatory and Project requirements.
Essential Experience and Skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an Electrical Engineering discipline qualification.
Knowledge of Codes and Acts applicable to the above systems including international and Algerian building codes and professional engineering requirements.
Strong communicator written and oral Arabic/English/French
Strong and effective leader and coordinator
Organized, disciplined, able to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities and parallel tasks
Strong Microsoft software skills, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Good presentation skills and strong report writing skills
Middle East project experience and/or experience of working on construction sites in Algeria
Experience of working in multicultural project teams 10+ years of E & I experience in an industrial environment.
