Mission
Execute safe and efficient maintenance of the auxiliary equipment on FPSO
Scope
- The responsibilities include the main General and Special responsibilities listed below. In addition, the OIM or any superior may assign any other tasks to be performed.
- Supervises the deck crew and all maintenance activities executed by deck department on deck machinery / equipment’s.
- Supervises crew, fitters and all maintenance activities executed outside engine room.
- Shall assist the MSUP in all matters related to the safe and efficient operation of all machinery and equipment’s outside the engine room.
- Assist CSUP in all matters related to the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of marine equipment’s.
- Shall ensure that all equipment and facilities outside engine room are maintained with proper cleanliness and in good working condition
Duties
Ensure that the following requirement are met and that the following activities are executed safely and professionally, in accordance with approved work procedures or quality plans that:
- To be fully familiar with rules, regulations and work procedures applicable to the task to be executed
- Fore pump room equipment’s maintenance.
- Familiar with the PTW System
- Assist in topside equipment’s maintenance.
- Deck equipment, cargo handling equipment, safety equipment are well maintained and in good working conditions.
- Manages waste and hazardous material management system onboard
- In charge of maintenance for FPSO cranes. Assist CSUP in crane operation activities.
- Assist CSUP in maintenance and service of export hose and mooring hawser
- FPSO turret and swivel are well maintained in proper working condition.
Authority
Delegated authority by MSUP in relation to technical maintenance to execute his responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Second Engineer Officer Certificate – STCW95 Reg. III/2
- For other certificates and training, see Company Training Matrix, Unit Specific Training Matrix and CBT Matrix
- Must meet the requirements for certification as an officer in charge of an engineering watch on seagoing ships powered by main propulsion machinery of 750 kW propulsion power or more and have not less than 12 months approved seagoing service in that capacity
- Have completed approved education and training and meet the standard of competence specified in section A-III/2 of the STCW Code.
- Excellent command in English written and spoken
- Preferably- Malaysian
